1. Snacks
and fast food

2. Red
meat
Red meat is also often associated with a high risk of
stroke. A study found that consuming large portions of red meat every day had a
42 percent higher risk of stroke. Red meat is high in saturated fat.
3. Salt
Salt contributes greatly to high blood pressure which can
trigger a stroke. Salt intake affects fluid balance in the blood.
It is recommended that you get no more than 2.3 grams of
sodium per day or the equivalent of 1 tsp of salt.
Most of the sodium is found in packaged and processed
foods.
4. Processed
meat
Processed meats are often packed with high sodium content.
The reason is, in the process, this type of meat is dried, seasoned, and
preserved with salt.
5. Canned
food
Canned food is a practical choice when cooking. It's just
that, without realizing it, packaged foods contain a lot of sodium, such as
canned soup. High sodium intake can increase blood pressure which is one of the
triggers for stroke.
